ANNA
In Chinese, Ta Yang, the name of the yard in Taiwan which built the Tayana 37, means Big Ocean. They named the yachts they built, Tayana, meaning:  Belongs to Big Ocean.

Anna is a Tayana 37. She is rigged as a true cutter and full-keeled, with a cutaway forefoot. Her mast is keel-stepped. She is a double-ender and rides big waves sweetly and with a dry cockpit. Fully loaded for cruising she weighs 30,000 lbs. Waterline length is 31 feet. Length over deck is 36.8 feet. Length overall (end of bowsprit to end of Monitor self-steering vane) is 44 feet.




Anna is a double-ender (canoe stern).
Anna is powered by a Perkins 4-108 50hp diesel engine. She has a Hurth ZF 25 transmission. The drive-train is connected to the fixed 3-blade, bronze prop with a Globe Drivesaver flexible coupling forward of the PYI PSS shaft seal.

Note: We use  horizontal, hi-load, stainless chainplates, installed on the exterior of the hull, at the port and starboard stern quarters to take the heavy loads of the JSD under severe conditions.
